MedIcePax LLC’s I.V. SafeTransporter for Wheelchair!

Problem:
Using a wheelchair to transport hospital patients, and in particular those who are attached to I.V. (intravenous) while attempting to maneuver the I.V. stand sometimes is difficult.   Occasions arise in which it becomes necessary to transport them, by means of a wheelchair, to another location. It is not unusual for such trips e.g., to and from the radiology.

MedIcePax, LLC’s SafeTransporter for Wheelchair is a means which enables the coupling of free-wheeling IV stands, to the Wheel Chair when transporting the patient. The person in charge of transporting the patient has a difficult task, navigating the patient in a wheelchair, while at the same time, needing somehow steady the IV stand.   Attention needs to be given to the IV stand, at the same time that transporter is guiding the wheelchair. For this reason MedIcePax, LLC has developed an inexpensive device to help avoid accidents, having to seek additional assistance, and increasing a patient’s independence.

In a nursing home, this allows the patient to guide the I.V. stand along the path of the wheelchair. It also increases the support and stability of the I.V. Stand using wheelchair by triangulating the wheelchair with the stand.  Restores dignity and reduces the number of hospital healthcare staff. This system applies to myriad health care environments.

MedIcePax, LLC new I.V. Holder, SafeTransporter for Wheelchair

MedIcePax, LLC has done it again. This patent pending device relates to the transporting of hospital patients, and in particular, to the transportation of patients who are attached to IV (intravenous) equipment or auxiliary equipment such as a volumetric pump (I.V.), commonly mounted on casters.  “Although patients with I.V.’s usually spend most of their time confined to bed, an occasion to arise in which it becomes necessary or advisable to transport them, as by means of a wheelchair, to another location” said Paul Vargas. “It is not unusual for such trips e.g., to and from the radiology. This device will facilitate such trips in a convenient and safe manner” he says.

Paul Vargas says “Normally there is not a means which enables the coupling of free-wheeling IV stands, to the Wheel Chair when transporting the patient. The person in charge of transporting the patient has a difficult task, navigating the patient in a wheelchair, while at the same time, needing somehow steady the IV stand”.  Attention needs to be given to the IV stand, at the same time that transporter is guiding the wheelchair.  For this reason MedIcePax, LLC has developed an inexpensive device to help avoid accidents, having to seek additional assistance, and increasing a patient’s independence.
